General Manager Resort Operations

Only three hours from Melbourne, Mt Buller is Australia’s
most accessible major alpine resort, offering a great mix
of beginner, intermediate and advanced trails for skiing
and snowboarding during winter. During summer Mt
Buller offers a network of mountain biking and walking
tracks and a calendar of events. Mt Stirling is popular
with nature lovers, school groups and families looking for
adventure in a relatively untouched alpine environment
offering access to cross country skiing, snow play, snow
camping, four-wheel driving and mountain biking.
The Mt Buller and Mt Stirling Alpine Resort Management
Board (RMB) is the Crown Land Manager of these two
alpine resorts operating from its administration centre
in the Mt Buller Village. The RMB provides essential
services to the community and oversees public assets
and infrastructure.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and
experienced persons for the position of General
Manager Resort Operations who will be a member
of the Executive Team, reporting to the CEO, and play
a key leadership role with responsibility for providing
effective and efficient planning, management and
delivery of a range of operational services and capital
works. Responsibilities include regulatory compliance
with various State Government agencies’ requirements.
The General Manager Resort Operations will also have
responsibility for procurement, project and contract
management for a variety of RMB projects and services,
and for facilitating professional engineering expertise
including design and costing. The General Manager
Resort Operations is responsible for managing and
motivating a diverse team of staff and contractors within
a challenging alpine environment.
The position requires a relevant tertiary qualification
and/or equivalent work experience.
Previous experience in ski area management would be a
significant advantage.

successful candidate.

librarian for the position of Adult Services
Librarian based at regional Headquarters in
Wangaratta.
The successful applicant will be part of a senior
management team and is required to manage
adult collections, information services and
special projects.
Applicants must be eligible for associate
membership of ALIA, be motivated and have
excellent communication skills. Public Library
experience is essential and experience in
collection development is highly desirable.
This is a full-time position classified as
Band 6 under the Victorian Local Authorities
Award 2001 with a commencement salary of
$62,155.60.
