Description
The Arts Council of Mansfield is a community group dedicated to encouraging creativity across all art forms. The committee meets every month and coordinates a number of events over the year including the Spring Arts Walk, visual arts exhibitions and Median to Rare sculpture exhibition during the High Country Festival in October/November, the "Cafe Concert Series" - 4 shows throughout the year of exceptional music with local support acts, the Three Faces Portrait Art Prize and the "Life Drawing" Exhibition.
Each year a young local person receives the Youth Encouragement Art Award for his or her dedication to art. Details of the award are on the Arts Council website and applications are accepted until 31 August and the winner announced in October.
Arts Council assists other groups and business with art events, music nights and performances. We are affiliated with Regional Arts Victoria and our online monthly newsletter "In the Loop" keeps everyone abreast of arts events in Mansfield and Mt Buller.
